The saga was a huge fantasy bestseller
If you're into the small screen adaptations of fantasy classics, you will be happy to hear that Neil Gaiman and Akiva Goldsman will turn Mervyn Peake's five book saga GORMENGHAST into television series with Free Mantle Media. As 'Deadline' reports a great battle was lead for the rights over the unusual fairy tale which follows the inhabitants of Castle GORMENGHAST     a sprawling, decaying, gothic structure with a raft of characters including Titus, the heir to the throne of the House of Groan, scheming kitchen boy Steerpike and twin sisters Cora and Clarice. Almost twenty years ago BBC had a series on it with very young Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

  1. I remember that BBC series of "Gormenghast" with Jonathan Rhys Meyers. It wasn't my fave. Maybe the remake will be better?

  2. GORMENGHAST could be interesting.
I'm surprised The 100 is still going. Doesn't look like the story has changed over the many seasons though.

    1. It actually has, the fact that they bring a new setting into each new season is what kept them on air for so long.

    1. I felt that for REIGN but not for 100 :) Probably because I watched all the seasons so far and followed the progress of the characters. It is a very unique series, I'm only annoyed by some of the characters and some of the actors.

  5. We watched the first two seasons of The 100, and I really liked it, but then it took a twist for the worst. Haven't been able to go back.

    1. yes, that is when it became violent, sadly, I generally get irritated by their idiotic take on genocide and collateral damage, but those are typical Americans, I guess...

  6. Looks like a desolate place. I wonder where The 100 was filmed.
