DYNAMIC TRAILER FOR "DEADFALL" WITH ERIC BANA, OLIVIA WILDE, CHARLIE HUNNAM & "GREAT EXPECTATIONS" WITH HELENA BONHAM CARTER, RALPH FIENNES, JEREMY IRVINE, HOLLIDAY GRAINGER

Your trailer for today is the first clip for the upcoming thriller DEADFALL which will hit cinemas this December. The films follows siblings Addison
(Eric Bana) and Liza (Olivia Wilde) who are on the run from a casino heist gone wrong. When a car accident leaves their wheel man and a state trooper dead, they split up and make a run for the Canadian border in the worst of circumstances - a near whiteout blizzard. While Addison heads cross-country, creating mayhem in his wake, Liza is picked up by ex-boxer Jay (Charlie Hunnam), en-route for a Thanksgiving homecoming with his parents, June (Sissy Spacek) and retired sheriff Chet (Kris Kristofferson). It's there the siblings are reunited in a terse and thrilling showdown that pushes the bonds of family to the limit.

 GREAT EXPECTATIONS CLIP
Your second trailer for today is for the new adaptation of famous Charles Dickens' novel GREAT EXPECT- ATIONS. The film will debut at Toronto Film Festival next month and will hit cinemas later this year. Directed by Mike Newell (HARRY PLOPPER, PRINCE OF PERSIA), the new, visually obviously very unique take on the old story, will have a rather stunning cast including always crazy Helena Bonham Carter as Miss Havisham, young Jeremy Irvine from Spielberg's WAR HORSE as the main hero Pip (the role was originally meant for Alex Pettyfer), Ralph Fiennes as the criminal Magwitch and THE BORGIAS beauty Holliday Grainger as
Estella, alongside Jason Flemyng and Robbie Coltrane in supporting roles. As you know, the story follows a humble orphan who suddenly becomes a gentleman with the help of an unknown benefactor.

  1. I do want to see this version of Great Expectations. The cinematography on this looks excellent and a different take on it, will be interesting. I really like Fiennes as well and watching him work will be a treat.

I'll email you tonight darling. The Hubby and I have been laying down rhythm tracks every other day. He only gives me one day to compose my part and then the next day we record so I've been pretty busy.

    1. the only bad thing is that they've also had new TV version of GREAT EXPECTATIONS with Gillian Anderson and Douglas Booth, so the audience won't be so eager to go watch this one too :(
So lovely to hear there's music in your life, darling, can't wait to see what your hubs has in store for us in his guest post :)

    2. There's always the burn out factor to consider when making a film. But I wish them the best of luck as this looks like it might be good.

The Hubby has written a funny poem. It will run at an odd time for me because it will have to suit the Hubby's time schedule for him to reply to comments.

    3. for some reason, rival projects are the trendy thing right now, the latest are those two DRACULA shows, and now CW has decided to also shoot SLEEPING HOLLOW show after they've heard NBC is making their version. Craziness!

Can't wait to see what he is like in comments, darling, I bet he will have a great sense of humour. How should I put myself towards him? With humour or with seriousness?

    4. Two Sleeping Hollows, I don't see how one will work.

You just be yourself with him darling. He knows who you are and why you're important to me, so anything you say will be fine with him.

  2. I love the preview for Deadfall but seeing Wilde play a part like this made me feel a little strange. I'm so used to her playing a "good" tough chick and here she is being the bad guy but it looks like she may turn good after all. Love her hair too!

    1. yes, I don't like her playing bad girls either, just as I don't like seeing Bana being a bad one :(

    2. I've heard actors say that some of the roles they've enjoyed the most is when they get to be the bad guy. Maybe she's just trying to break a stereotype for herself.

    3. I can understand that, Anne. I enjoy writing as a character who is different from the way I truly am too.

    4. it's true actors like playing villains and writers love writing evil characters

    5. Hopefully it's because it's so far beyond what they really are that it requires a real stretch creatively. And not because they finally get to be themselves!

I remember having to read Great Expectations in school. To be honest, I don't remember much of it but it will be interesting to see how this take will play out compared to others. (I can't imagine why I would forget something from school?)

  11. Thanks for both trailers! The story of the 1st one seems a bit intricate, but quite interesting as well. As for the 2nd one, the cast is really nice and I like this gothic, Victorian atmosphere.

    Good day!
